BUY YOUR OWN LODGE OR CARAVAN
Owning your own holiday home means that you can enjoy a break whenever you want - and you can share it with your family and friends. You can try before you buy by taking a short break on a park which looks right for you and make an appointment with the owner or manager to talk about the choice. Please note the majority of caravan parks do not allow you to sub-let and this is usually written into the terms and conditions.
Many Thistle Parks have new and second caravan holiday homes and lodges for sale. The new ones, of course, will be brand new, but holiday homes and lodges are now build to such a high specification that they will last you for years. Before making the purchase, talk with the park-owner about the terms and conditions for owning a caravan or lodge, because there are legal implications. Parks make an annual charge, which varies depending on the facilities available; make sure that you understand these.. The Park will issue you with a Site Licence detailing the terms of the agreement for you to occupy the pitch. You also need to consider insurance and the number of years the licence covers.. The park-owners are responsible for the maintenance and security of the park; you pay for this in your pitch fees.
Prices depend on whether you want two or three bedrooms, brand-new or second-hand.. Talk with the park or look on their own website to find out what they have; they may have pre-owned holiday homes; they may have new ones on-site, or they may have the pitch and you can have a choice of which brand to buy...
